Our Story

Our coffee journey began 15 years ago in a small cafe in Masaka, Uganda. We had moved from the fast paced, western world to a place where time moved slowly, conversations lingered, meals were relished, laughter was free, life was intentional.

A French Press of coffee always sat in the middle of our table. We savored the flavors, the time, the company.

We had always enjoyed coffee, but in those days we fell in love with coffee and everything it means to us; Slowing down, engaging in process, creating a space for conversation as rich and deep as the drink in our hands.

We came back to the States with an appreciation for the slow work that makes beautiful things.

We knew this value would apply to every part of our lives. Our walk with God, our desire to make an impact on our community, our parenting. Our coffee. Everything.

For over a decade we have committed ourselves to the process of becoming the kind of people who could embrace the slow and steady.

We began roasting our coffee in small batches and sharing with family and friends, using the proceeds to support Signal Fire Ministries - a discipleship effort towards wholehearted living, intentional community, and process over productivity.

We are a locally owned, family operation.
